Balmy in Breach Candy in Mumbai is gorgeous and offers food you shouldn't miss!

This place is not just aesthetic, pretty, and a work of art, but also serves delicious and lip-smacking Asian, Indian, and Italian food.

There’s no shortage of pretty cafes, restaurants, and bars in the city, but only a few of them are able to stand on top and impress you with both- their ambience and great food. If you are a fan of spacious, green, bright, and cozy restaurants, Balmy in Breach Candy is absolutely a must-visit. This gorgeous restaurant feels like home and has comfortable seating options, including swings, a grand bar area, plants, vintage elements, a boho vibe, and an eye-pleasing beige and cream décor.

This highly picturesque café with bedazzling designs, delectable food, and amazing drinks will definitely leave you in a food coma. Our experience here was delicious and here’s what we suggest.

Quick Bites:

For starters, we ordered activated charcoal and Chilli cheese dim sums as well as Mac & Cheese Balls. The dim sums here are heaven! The generous minced chicken filling in the charcoal ones was salty and flavourful and is something you really shouldn’t miss if you like dim sums.

The Chilli cheese one was like a cheesy explosion in our mouth and we simply loved it. Plus points for how well the dim sums looked and the generous filling. The Mac & Cheese balls were also massive and were placed on Marinara sauce. It was such a delectable combo and was a good mix of crunchy and chewy.

Mains:

For the main course, the staff suggested we go ahead with their Everything Veg Pizza and Paneer Makhni with Kulcha. Both these dishes were lip-smacking. The thin-crust pizza wasn’t very crispy but was packed with flavours and so we had no complaints. The Kulcha and Makhni, on the other hand, was creamy, savoury, and pretty buttery. The paneer was soft, and it was simply great.

But what we loved more than anything else was their Black Bean & Jasmine rice sizzling bowl. It was served in a stone bowl and remained piping hot until we were done. The black bean gravy was comforting and had veggies, including the softest of paneer cubes. It’s a dish we highly recommend and are glad we tried. For dessert, we ordered Creme Brulee and were left amazed by its creamy and soft texture and loved its balanced sweet flavour.

Balmy also offers some really great mocktails and has an extensive menu for drinks. We tried the mocktails named Not So Monday Blues and Kiss of strawberry and are still not over their flavours. Both the drinks were refreshing and had a lovely taste.

In a nutshell, Balmy is a great place to unwind after a long day at work, for a romantic brunch, or for a quick food date with your friends and family. Do plan a visit, as team Local Samosa totally loved it.
