Cafe Isvara

This outdoor cafe is beautiful and breezy and will definitely beat your weekday blues with its quick service, good food, and refreshing beverages.

A gorgeous and pretty addition to Western Mumbai, Cafe Isvara is a newly opened open-air and pet-friendly cafe that is serving continental food with a desi touch by adding healthy Indian ingredients such as kokum, mustard, turmeric, raw mango, and herbs. This place is cozy, the vibe is comfy, and the overall atmosphere is quite relaxing. We recently ate at this beautiful cafe and here's what we suggest trying.

Salad and more:

The highlight for us at this cafe was their salad. We ordered The Isvara Special and it was refreshing and pretty flavourful. This bowl of salad was a good mix of kale, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, tofu, and a lot of fresh lettuce. The taste was a bit on the sweeter side, but that's what we loved about it.

From the hummus section, we ordered the Bhut Jolokia Chilli, which came with falafels and ragi crispies. The hummus was creamy and a bit spicy, while the falafels were soft and they, too, had a kick. As we were still not full, we ordered their pesto fettuccine and it was definitely one happy bowl of pasta. The creamy sauce was yummy, but the flavour of the pesto was kind of missing. But feel free to order it as it was filling and super creamy.

Tea-sty

Cafe Isvara offers an extensive menu of beverages and is definitely a paradise for tea lovers. The menu features artisanal teas, some of them are even served with cream cheese, and classics like oolong, Assam, and kahwa are also available. From this side of the menu, we tried their Matcha tea with cream cheese and cold chocolate with Boba.

The addition of the cream cheese was a fab idea, we felt, and it added the perfect sweet and creamy taste to our matcha tea. However, the matcha flavour wasn't much strong, and that's where this tea didn't work for us. The Cold Chocolate Boba was bittersweet, and we liked how it helped us clean out the palate, but we wished the glass had more bobas and fewer ice cubes.
