The Baker’s Dozen was started in 2013 by Aditi Handa and Sneh Jain out of their love for sourdough, the pate ferment, and the culture of baking. They started with a small kitchen in Dadar and sold from a store in Prabhadevi with just 25 loaves of bread. Today, after 8 years, the duo bakes more than 10,000 loaves of bread a day and sells them all across India.

Vaishnavi Rangarajan and T S Vishwanathan are also some of our favourite couple entrepreneurs. Though it was Vaishnavi who came up with the idea and founded The Nestery in 2019 out of a personal need – as a new parent. In 2020 Vishwanathan joined her and the duo hasn't stopped since then. The Nestery is a vertical marketplace focused on helping modern Indian parents discover and buy the right products for their kids and themselves they might need during the different stages of parenting. Founded in 2016, Mamaearth is another popular name in the space of personal care products. Varun and Ghazal Alagh were struggling to treat their infant son’s skin condition and couldn't find suitable products in the Indian market. And, so they ended up buying from the US. After this, they researched and talked to other parents where they found out that they also weren't happy with what was available. That's when the talented duo made their mind to start a company in this space and founded Mama Earth with the aim to provide natural and toxin-free products for baby skin.
