Kunafa World is already a popular pick for Kunafa lovers in Mangalore, Bangalore, Mysore, and Hyderabad. But, now they have opened their very first outlet in Mumbai at Bandra, and it offers the same menu featuring delicious Kunafas in variety!
Knafeh or Kunafa is a traditional Middle Eastern dessert made with a spun pastry called kataifi, soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup, and typically layered with cheese, or cream, pistachio, or nuts. Now, Mumbaikars can enjoy this classic cream and cheese-filled baked delicacy in Bandra in the most authentic way! After a successful launch of their cafe in Bengaluru, entrepreneur and MBBS Dr. Arshia Siddique has opened the door of Kunafa World in Mumbai in Bandra. You can even watch your Kunafa being made on the rotating burner-a stove ( made by the company itself to cook it perfectly) and relish as much as you want.
Located opposite to one of the buzzing streets of Bandra west, Kunafa World is a cute takeaway and a dine-in place where you can bite traditional as well as Kunafas with a modern makeover. Here, you will find the Classics such as Cheese and Nutty Kunafa along with interesting new versions like Lotus Biscoff, Nutella Kunafa, and also a few crunchy variants like snickers and Kit Kat Kunafas.
We tried the Nabulsi Cheese Kunafa, and the cheese-filled pastry took us on a gooey surprise. Served hot, this one was specially cooked on the rotating burner. A crunchy layer of kataifi and a warm filling of the imported Nabulzi cheese makes it authentic and delightful. The Kunafa tasted even better with the drizzle of the saffron-sugar syrup, which we later poured to get the sugar rush. The crunchy layer and the gooey filling of cheese make it a must-try! It is best to have it on the spot, as the texture and flavour can vary a lot after a while.
The cream cheese Kunafa was also a delightful experience. It was nice, authentic, crunchy, and creamy. Just what you expect from a plate of piping hot Kunafa! We also tried the Mini Kunafas ( Chocolate and Caramel & Nuts), which were too adorable to eat. The Cone Kunafas on the other hand had a layer of nuts, cream cheese, and Nutella at the end. These two also come with sugar syrup and have enough sweetness to satiate your sweet tooth.
A chocolaty treat!
The best part was watching the Kunafas being made in front of our eyes! Almost everything we ate was impressive, but the classic cheese Kunafa and the Nabulsi Cheese Kunafa tops our list. There are also some very chocolaty options like Ferrero Rocher, Oreo, and Bounty Kunafa for all the chocoholics. An authentic taste & cute ambiance make Kunafa World in Mumbai a good place to be with your dear ones! Visit it for traditional and some chocolicious Kunafas!
