Since Neeraj Chopra, the Javelin thrower, and now the Olympic champion, has made the whole country proud by winning gold at the Tokyo Olympics, the Athletics Federation of India's planning committee has decided to promote Javelin throw by organizing competitions across the country from the next year on August 7. The move has been taken to honor Neeraj Chopra.

2. Gujarat petrol pump gives free petrol to all 'Neerajs' to honour Neeraj Chopra

In a unique attempt to honor the Javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, a petrol pump owner in Bharuch, Gujarat decided to give free petrol up to Rs 501 to all persons with the name 'Neeraj'. No doubt the gold medalist has made the country proud but this owner is also winning hearts on social media with such kind initiative!

3. Teachers sowed paddy in MP so that farmers could go for taking vaccines

Since the farmers of Manikpur village in Shahpur tehsil were not ready to go to the vaccination centers unless they sowed paddy, a few teachers who were given the work of motivating people to take the jabs, turned farmers and sowed paddy on their behalf so that they could go to the centers on time. By the end of that day, all 33 farmers who were working in the fields took their second dose of vaccines.
