The door-to-door vaccination in Bikaner will begin soon where people above the age of 45 years will be able to take the vaccine while sitting at the comfort of their homes.

Rajasthan is all set to become the first state in the country to start door-to-door vaccination by starting the drive from Bikaner. People above the age of 45 years will be able to get the jab in the drive.

For smooth operations, the government of Rajasthan has offered people to register themselves for the vaccine through the WhatsApp number. Moreover, two ambulances and three mobile teams have also been included in the drive.

Door-to-door vaccination only if 10 people register

However, the ambulance will only be able to reach home if 10 persons would have registered for the vaccine. It has been decided to avoid the wastage of doses since ten people can get the dose from one vial.

Though the ambulance will move to another place after giving the vaccine, the medical team will stay to monitor the situation.

The officials from all the 16 urban primary health centres in Bikaner will also assess the team involved in the vaccination drive.

Rajasthan had recorded 368 new cases of Coronavirus on Saturday with 16 deaths. The total cases in the state are 949,376.

Out of the total population of Bikaner i.e. 7,00,000, according to the census 2011, 3,69,000 have taken the vaccine as of now.
