The residents in Bengaluru living in the apartments in Whitefield reached out to the medical staff with vending machines and supplies of the beverages.

Healthcare workers have been working tirelessly in the pandemic with bare minimum facilities and resources for themselves. The residents in Bengaluru understood this very well as they reached the government hospitals with the tea and coffee vending machines with them.

It is because of the volunteers from Prestige Ozone apartment, Prestige Shanti Niketan, and Chaitanya Samarpana in Whitefield that the medical staff are now able to take some time off to sip the beverages.

The initiative was also joined by the coffee giants like Nestle and Georgia. Due to this, the Victoria, Bowring, and Jayadeva hospitals have received one dispenser each. However, St John’s Hospital has received two.

The volunteers have also provided the hospitals with the supplies of the beverages that will last for three months. Likewise, each machine with a three-month supply amounts to Rs 1.25 lakh.

While the staff at the hospitals are happy to receive the machines, the volunteers are likely to install such machines at other hospitals. There are four machines in the pipeline which, according to the volunteers, will be installed at KG General Hospital in Kolar and Mysore Medical College.

What an initiative to refresh the medical staff with the refreshments!
