COVID-19 Warrior Shubham Vijyavargiya from Indore is distributing meals and drinks to police personals, the needy, and animals!

Shubham Vijyavargiya is a Digital Marketer and works for different celebrities like Salman Khan, Shilpa Shinde, Manveer Gurjar, and more. But during the lockdown, he became a COVID-19 warrior by providing meals and drinks to people!

For the last 25 days, Shubham Vijyavargiya and his friends are distributing meals almost everywhere in Indore. His team can be found offering chilled drinks to police constable and traffic police on COVID duty. They can also be seen feeding cows and stray dogs. They are also distributing masks and chocolates to kids in slums and helping people with ration kits to the needy. This COVID-19 Warrior and his team have provided food to 500 people every day in these 25 days and have no plans to stop it anytime soon.

"During the first lockdown also we had helped people. Whenever we would go for the shoots, I and my friends would distribute khichdi and ration. But this time the need was different. There was a requirement of COVID-19 essentials. So, we started by verifying leads and made a group of around 250 people. My number had gone viral and I was getting 200, 300 calls every day regarding oxygen cylinders, plasma and etc.", said Shubham.

After a while when the situation got better in Indore and the lockdown wasn't very strict, Shubham decided to help people in some other way. " We are a group of 5 friends. We were receiving many calls regarding food and ration as well. Seeing this we all agreed to help people. On the very first day, we cooked Khichdi for 50 people by ourselves. It felt really great and so we decided to continue it on a bigger level. The police have been helpful too. They never stopped us from distributing food", he said.

Shubham started sharing these videos on different social media platforms and it was appreciated by the netizens. " A lot of people reached out to me saying they wanted to be a part of this initiative. We never asked for donations but people have been very supportive." Shubham and his friends have been giving around 500 meals every day across Indore to daily wagers, slums, and the poor.

" We had never imagined it to become this big. It was just a thought, but people and even celebrities like Karan Wahi, Balraj Syal, Suyyash Rai, and many more have supported us by sharing our videos.", he added.

Currently, this COVID-19 warrior is distributing meals along with ration kits in different slum areas in Indore. In these 25 days, Shubham has become a known face for families living in slums. Talking about how special does it feels he said, " There is a slum near Airport Road, and it has around 60 to 70 kids. On the first day when we distributed the food, they accepted it. We kept visiting the place. By the 4th day, they had become familiar, and since that day, as soon as they see our car, they come screaming 'ย Aagaye Bhaiyya, Aa gaye Bhaiyyaย out of happiness'. They stand in a line and they now even know us by name, and it's beautiful.", he added.

Shubham and his team also distribute drinks to police personnel on COVID-19 duty. They have also been feeding stray animals. " There is aย Gau Shalaย at Dhar Road that has 350 stray cows. We have been feeding them watermelons.", he added.
