Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, K Palaniswami has unveiled a structure as part of Smart City Mission. The structure includes a Tamil word ‘Namma’ meaning ‘our’ in the red colour whereas the second word, Chennai, is in white.
The total weight of the structure is 2.5 tonnes. However, the height and width are 28 feet and 10 feet simultaneously. Both words have a thickness of 2 feet.
The structure denotes love that Chennai people have towards their city. ‘Namma Chennai’ is placed on the arterial Kamarajar Salai opposite the Queen Mary’s College.
