Friendship Day is here, and if it was any other year, we would already have plans set up. But thanks to lockdown and restricted movement, this year it's not possible. And it goes without saying, we are surely going to miss our friends' company. But more than that, we will miss our go-to hangout spot. Be it a cafe, a small shack near the college or shopping spree at Hong Kong Lane. Have a look at some of the hangout spots in Pune we are going to miss.
1. Hearty meal at Cafe Goodluck
One of the oldest eatery in the city, this cafe set in 1935 still remains one of the most popular hangout spots in Pune. Right now, we can't do anything but miss the Chicken Kolhapuri, Mutton Keema Chilli Fry and of course Bun Maskas and Omelette.
2. Grabbing a drink from Independence Brewing Company
This has been our go-to spot since the last few years, and we are surely going to miss the happening vibe of this brewery. There is nothing better than grabbing a pint of locally brewed beer with great company. Aren't you already missing the Belgian Wit and Hefeweizen? We sure are.
3. Indulge in some sweetness at Iconic German Bakery
When in doubt, just chill at the German Bakery. The food here is delicious, and desserts are from heaven above, and Shrewsberry cookies from here are to die for! If you have ever been to Pune, we are sure you know what we are talking about.
Are you and your friends shopaholic? Then there is no better place than Hong Kong Lane to chill around. Be it jewellery, shoes, quirky backpacks or phone cover, this place is a dream for all shopping lovers. Even if it was just window shopping, it was super fun.
5. Party hopping at Koregaon Park
For party animals, there's no better place than Koregaon Park. And with all those special offers during friendship day, we sure made the most of it with party hopping. Be it the happening Coco, 1 Lounge And Restaurant which is known for its crazy music, or Local Gastro Bar with it's trippy decore. We are sure itching to go back to these places.
Do you even live in Pune if you haven't visited High Spirits at least once? Going here with your friends, chilling, drinking, and singing songs with live bands is a memory a lot of us have experienced here! Sadly, this year, we are going to drink and sing via video calls. Not so bad though!
Swig is yet another go-to place to just swing, eat, drink, chill, and dance away the night! The food here is delicious and can't remember how many evenings and nights we have spent here! BRB! Crying!
Not having a plan is also a good plan! So most of us just like to go to the Phoenix Mall, just randomly stroll, do a Lil window shopping, eat, drink and dance in some bars, explore the gaming zone, and voila, it is an all in one place to celebrate Friendship day! Sadly, not happening this time!
