At the moment, every single time we call someone, we hear a PSA on Coronavirus that informs us about the dos and don'ts to avoid the spread of the virus. Do you know who is the voice behind the COVID-19 caller tune?
The voice that we all are hearing to the past three months as a caller tune is given by the voice-over artist, Jasleen Bhalla. She has been a voice-over artist for over 10 years now. Before this, she was working as a sports journalist.
In an interview with the news channel NDTV, she talked about how she was approached by a producer to record her voice for the health ministry. And, she had no clue that her voice will be played before every call for so many months.
Like every other PSA, she thought this would also be played for 10 days, and that's it. For Bhalla, it is a very classic experience to listen to her own voice.
Bhalla said, "You're trying to make a call, and you know it's your voice. And you know it's going to go on for 30 seconds. And it's my own voice going on, telling me, 'wash your hands, wear a mask and sanitizer.'"
She also said while for a common man, it might get very irritating to hear the same thing over and over again, but at the same time, let's not forget it is very important for this message to reach every being.
