It is the season of chikkis and the world-famous Undhiyu! Vibrant kites covering the sky, and the terrace filled with friends and family. But for people whose family is not in the city or you wish to do something different, here is a list of Makar Sakranti Events in Ahmedabad.

International Kite Festival

Every year, this is the biggest festival for all the kite flying enthusiasts across the globe. You can witness unique creations by kite flyers and be wowed by the most unusual kites. There will be several cultural programs held during this festival.

When: 7 - 13 January

Time: 10 am - 5 pm

Sprint by RTC Ahmedabad

SR Kite Ride

How does a cycle ride to celebrate Makar Sankranti sound to you? Sunday riders will celebrate this day with a 20 km ride with music, fun, selfies and of course kite flying. If you don’t own a cycle, no worries, you can even rent one from them at a nominal charge of Rs. 350.

Maha Undhiya Party - Kite Festival

Uttarayan celebration without Undhiyu is incomplete. Relish unlimited Undhiyu, Jalebi, and poori while flying kites, playing games and other fun-loving activities.
