The Founder: Shri Muneet Dhiman ji

Shri Muneet Dhiman ji, the visionary founder of Vidyakshetra, embarked on a mission to redefine education in India. His deep reverence for traditional Indian values and his commitment to holistic development led to the creation of this institution. Dhiman ji's background in both modern education and ancient Indian philosophies provided him with a unique perspective, allowing him to blend the best of both worlds into the school's curriculum.

Educational Philosophy and Approach

Vidyakshetra is founded on the Bharatiya method of learning, which draws inspiration from the ancient Indian education system. This system emphasises not just academic excellence but also the development of character, wisdom, and ethical values. The Bharatiya approach to education, also known as Gurukul, focuses on nurturing the mind, body, and spirit, ensuring that students are well-rounded individuals who are prepared to face the challenges of the modern world with a grounded sense of tradition. They have included a bunch of different and unique aspects to their curriculum. 

For channelising the endless energy kids have, Vidyashetra trains their students to activate their kriya shakti through yoga, kallaripayattu (martial arts), kreeda (games), krishi (agriculture), house construction, cloth making, kumbharike (pottery), shilpkala (woodwork and sculpturing) and swimming.

The traditional Indian education systems emphasised on nurturing the feelings of the students. Vidyashetra does it through the rich heritage in form of stories from Hitopadesha, Dashavatara, Ramayana, Mahabharata. They also use kalas such as Tabla, Hindustani Sangeeth, Venuvaadan, Bharatanatyam along with Painting, Knitting, Crotchet and Stitching and Nataka (theatre).

To develop the intellect, Vidyashetra has a blend of traditional and current subjects such as ganit, jyamiti, vigyan, bhugol, itihaas, bhashas (Samskrita, Kannada, English). They have more than 250 listed experiments in physics, chemistry and biology. The academic curriculum connects with NIOS curriculum at the age of 16 (grade 10 equivalent).
