Winners of Sahitya Akademi Award 2024: Bal Sahitya Puraskar and Yuva Puauskar

The Sahitya Akademi Award is a literary honour that the National Academy of Letters known as the Sahitya Akademi, annually confers on writers of the most exceptional books of literary merit published in various languages. This year the institution conferred 23 winners with the Yuva Puauskar 2024 and 24 winners with the Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2024. “The books were selected on the basis of recommendations made by the Jury comprising three members each in the concerned language in accordance with the rules and procedure laid down for the purpose. The Award in the form of a casket containing an engraved copper plaque and a cheque of Rs. 50,000/- will be presented to the awardees at a special function to be held at a later date,” the Acadamy said in a release. Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2024 Winners

Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar is presented annually to the best literary creations by young writers aged 35 or below in all 24 recognized languages.

Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar 2024 Winners

Sahitya Akademi Bal Sahitya Puraskar is conferred on outstanding and meritorious children's books annually and in the 24 languages recognized by the Akademi. For each language, the ground list is prepared by two experts.
