Sonic Tigress 2025 will be held at Mirage, Santacruz (W), Mumbai, on October 11 2025, from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Marking a first for India, the festival is an all-women initiative designed, organised, and performed entirely by women. It aims to create a safe, inclusive space where women can express and celebrate creativity and community through music and culture.
Every element of Sonic Tigress — from artists and crew to security and attendees — has been powered by women. The festival seeks to redefine traditional event structures by ensuring women lead in every role, both on stage and behind the scenes.
Sonic Tigress will feature a mix of live music, comedy, art, and fitness, offering an immersive environment for women to connect and celebrate. The lineup includes DJ Binni, known for her Bollywood, EDM, and techno sets; Raashi Dhamdhere, a multilingual hip-hop artist; Zian B, a jazz singer-songwriter and vocal coach; and Mayurpankhi Chetia, known for her Assamese and Hindi performances. The event will also feature community artists, including national medalist skateboarders Shraddha Jayashree and Siddhi Thakkar, and boxer-entrepreneur Ravindra Gaikwad.
Beyond music, attendees can participate in several activities, including The Scream Meter Challenge, where participants can compete to win free tickets, and a curated flea market featuring local artisans, live art, and glow-in-the-dark tattoos. The festival will also offer exclusive merchandise such as the limited-edition Stripe Bag, designed as a keepsake for attendees.
The build-up to the event included a pre-launch gathering titled Stripes of Glory at Soho House, Mumbai. The evening paid tribute to Machali, the tigress of Ranthambore, and featured discussions with Dr Latika Nath, Malini Agarwal, Aditi Dugar, Saloni Anand, and Naina Parekh, focusing on legacy, strength, and women-led storytelling.
Sonic Tigress aims to serve as a model for the future of festivals in India by establishing a women-first platform for creative expression. It highlights the potential for collective participation and representation, showcasing how women can shape new cultural and artistic narratives.
