Amidst the chaos of fast-paced living and over-the-top festival experiences, Shoonya 2025 returns to Rishikesh from February 14–16, in collaboration with Local Samosa, to offer a space to embrace simplicity. Unlike conventional festivals, Shoonya is an invitation to slow down, let go of distractions, and connect—both with oneself and with others.

This year’s festival continues its tradition of creating an organic, label-free experience. Attendees leave behind professional titles, social expectations, and the need for constant stimulation. There are no VIP zones or rigid schedules; instead, Shoonya unfolds through spontaneous music, shared stories, and mindful experiences. The festival fosters deep human connection through movement, sound, and storytelling. Participants from previous editions describe Shoonya as a transformative retreat, where vulnerability, love, and self-expression flourish in an unstructured yet deeply intentional environment.

Music, movement, and mindfulness take centre stage at Shoonya. Sarod Mystics, an Indo-fusion band from Udaipur, will offer soul-stirring performances alongside versatile musicians Manu, Shreya, and Raman. Tech-art installations by Hassan from Goa will create interactive experiences, while sustainability ambassador Pankti Pandey will engage visitors in meaningful discussions on mindful living. Workshops on breathwork, ecstatic dance, and conscious storytelling will guide attendees through inner exploration. In a new addition this year, the Conscious Corner will showcase sustainable brands that align with Shoonya’s ethos, reinforcing the festival’s commitment to mindful consumption and environmental responsibility.

As one of the few zero-waste festivals globally, Shoonya remains dedicated to sustainability. Its no-drug policy and intentional structure ensure that participants engage in conscious celebration. The festival flows through three carefully designed days—beginning with immersive stillness, leading into vibrant community engagement, and closing with reflective solitude. Shoonya is not just an event; it is a reminder that sometimes, fulfillment lies not in more, but in less. For more information, visit shoonyafestival.com or follow @shoonyafestival on Instagram.
