In the era when Indian actresses are taking up various other career roles and opportunities, Saiyami Kher is the new name. This Bollywood actress has achieved an important milestone as she has become the first Indian actress to have completed the Ironman 70.3 triathlon in Germany - a race that includes 1.9 km swim, 90 km of cycling, and a 21.1 km run.
Talking about the event, Ironman 70.3, which is also referred to as the Half Ironman is considered to be one of the most challenging endurance races in the world. It is a series of long-distance triathlon races which is organised by the World Triathlon Corporation and the "70.3" refers to the total distance in miles covered in the race, consisting of a 1.2-mile swim, a 56-mile bike ride, and a 13.1-mile run. However, regardless of the problems, Kher turned out to be crossing the finish line marking a new achievement to her professional deeds.
Getting this feat on her name, however, did not come so easy to the actress who, reportedly, had to juggle the 12-14-hour shoots while also managing the practice for the Ironman 70.3. Even though Ironman 70.3 was on my bucket list of actresses oftentimes, she had to battle the lack of motivation due to the demanding nature of the practice.
Apart from that, Kher also had to go through the experiences of missing flights and losing luggage before the event, however, it did not stop her from taking part in it bringing her laurels. She also informed her fans about the updates through her social media posts.
Born in Nashik, Saiyami had debuted in the Telugu industry and is mostly popular for her performances in the movies like 'Ghoomer' where she was starred along with Abhishek Bachchan, and Angad Bedi. She was also part of 'Sharmaji Ki Beti' with Sakshi Tanwar, Divya Dutta, along with Vanshika Taparia, Arista Mehta, Sharib Hashmi and Parvin Dabas.
