Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) AI glasses are now available in India, bringing upgraded video capture, extended battery life, improved Meta AI features, and refreshed styles designed for daily use. The collection will be sold nationwide through Ray-Ban India stores and leading optical and eyewear retailers, with prices starting at Rs. 39,900.
Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) builds on the first-generation model with 3K Ultra HD video capture, ultrawide HDR, and more advanced Meta AI capabilities. The glasses support up to eight hours of battery life, fast charging that reaches 50% in twenty minutes, and a charging case that provides an additional forty-eight hours of power. New creative capture modes, including hyperlapse and slow motion, will be introduced through future software updates.
The range includes the Wayfarer, Skyler, and Headliner styles. This year’s updates feature new seasonal colours such as Shiny Cosmic Blue, Shiny Mystic Violet, and Shiny Asteroid Grey.
Meta AI has new features designed for everyday scenarios. Users can activate the assistant with “Hey Meta” to ask questions, receive suggestions, and use creative prompts. Conversation Focus supports clearer audio in noisy environments. Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) also supports full Hindi interaction, allowing users to speak naturally to Meta AI to take photos, record videos, control media, send responses, and complete other tasks.
Meta AI now includes Celebrity AI Voice, which allows users to interact with the assistant through natural spoken conversation. Deepika Padukone’s AI voice is available as part of the feature, joining other recognisable voices that users can select from.
Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) will soon support UPI Lite payments through a new feature currently in testing. Users will be able to look at a QR code and say, “Hey Meta, scan and pay” to complete a transaction directly from their glasses. Payments will be processed through the user’s WhatsApp-linked bank account, offering a hands-free way to carry out everyday purchases.
