Veteran journalist and editor Sharmila Bhowmick has announced the launch of Mocha Ink, a multifaceted content and media collective that aims to reimagine the intersection of journalism, creativity, and conscious living. The initiative brings together multiple formats of storytelling and communication through two primary verticals — Mocha Ink Mag and Mocha Talks — with an additional strategic content wing, Mocha Ink Lab.
Mocha Ink Mag is a digital magazine that draws on Bhowmick’s twenty-five years of newsroom experience. It blends intellect and design through features that explore business, culture, beauty, and the inner life of contemporary India. Positioned as a lifestyle and ideas platform, the magazine covers diverse themes ranging from everyday life and relationships to broader questions of identity and change. Its tone mirrors a reflective café conversation, exploring how people, brands, and ideas influence the evolving story of modern India.
Mocha Talks, the podcast under the Mocha Ink umbrella, is designed to host conversations centred on reflection and awareness. The series features entrepreneurs, thinkers, and creators in dialogues that explore how individuals shape the ways we live, lead, and connect. Each episode is intended as a mindful exchange, bringing clarity and warmth to contemporary discussions.
The third vertical, Mocha Ink Lab – The Strategy Studio, extends the brand’s philosophy into the space of editorial strategy and brand storytelling. The Lab works with companies, founders, and institutions to create purposeful content through brand narratives, editorial campaigns, and digital storytelling. Its approach is based on the idea that strategy begins with the story itself.
