Gaurav Gupta has announced the opening of its first-ever dedicated menswear flagship store at DLF Emporio, New Delhi. Spanning approximately 2,300 square feet, the boutique marks a significant milestone for the house and reflects a long-term commitment to menswear as a central part of the brand’s design vision.

The launch establishes a permanent retail space for the Gaurav Gupta Man for the first time. Positioned as more than a conventional store, the flagship represents a strategic step in strengthening the brand’s presence within India’s luxury retail environment, while responding to a growing national and international menswear audience.

Reflecting on the intent behind the space, Gaurav Gupta says, “This space reflects how I think about menswear today. It is fluid, sculptural, and introspective. The store becomes an extension of the Gaurav Gupta Man, where architecture and clothing exist in quiet conversation with one another.”

The store has been designed by architect Karanbir Duggal in close collaboration with Gaurav Gupta. The interior departs from traditional retail formats, unfolding as a sculptural environment shaped by curved architectural volumes, controlled sightlines, and layered spatial transitions. The layout is intended to guide visitors through the boutique gradually, encouraging exploration and engagement with the garments.

The design is informed by the philosophy of Shunya, which views emptiness as potential rather than absence. This approach balances open spaces with deliberate pauses, creating an environment where architecture frames the clothing without dominating it. The focus remains on craftsmanship, silhouettes, and materiality.

Expanding on the design approach, architect Karanbir Duggal says “The concept of Shunya informed the way we shaped the space. Emptiness was treated as an active element, allowing the architecture to feel calm, intentional, and deeply immersive rather than visually dense.”

The Gaurav Gupta Man was first introduced in 2017 with the brand’s menswear debut at GQ Fashion Nights, where Shahid Kapoor was the showstopper. Since then, menswear has grown into a key vertical for the brand, gaining visibility across both Indian and international platforms. Over the years, men from film and cultural spheres have worn the brand’s menswear, including appearances by Ranveer Singh at Vantara and Jr NTR at the Oscars.

The flagship store brings this evolution together in one space. While tailored pieces such as tuxedos, bandhgalas, and ceremonial wear continue to form the core of the offering, the boutique also reflects an expansion into additional categories including kurtas and Nehru jackets. The store now houses structured jackets, draped silhouettes, shirts, accessories, bow ties, footwear, and finishing elements.

Conceived as a permanent expression of the brand rather than a seasonal retail space, the menswear flagship presents the Gaurav Gupta menswear universe in its entirety, offering a considered retail experience for contemporary, globally engaged customers.
