Fratelli Vineyards, one of India’s most celebrated wine producers, has released a new vintage of its flagship label SETTE through a limited-edition collaboration with designer Manish Malhotra. The launch commemorates the 15th anniversary of SETTE and presents a collector’s bottle that brings together fine winemaking and couture-inspired design.

SETTE has been recognised within Fratelli’s portfolio for its structure, depth, and ageing potential. This vintage has been produced from very low yielding vines using grapes sourced exclusively from the estate’s oldest vineyard parcels planted in 2007. It also pays tribute to the inaugural SETTE released in 2009 and represents the most mature fruit expression created for the label to date.

To mark the anniversary, Manish Malhotra created a bespoke presentation design rendered in textured gold. Inspired by elements of Indian couture, the bottle design focuses on surface, detail, and finish. The collaboration reflects a shared approach to craftsmanship, time, and process across both winemaking and couture.

Speaking on the collaboration, Gaurav Sekhri, Managing Director, Fratelli Vineyards, said, “At Fratelli Vineyards, SETTE has always embodied the pinnacle of what we strive to achieve. The 15th anniversary of SETTE marks a defining milestone, a testament to years of patience, mastery, and unwavering belief in Indian terroir. Collaborating with Manish Malhotra for this edition was a natural choice; his design language, rooted in heritage yet boldly modern, perfectly reflects the journey of SETTE. This limited edition celebrates time, craftsmanship, and a shared vision of contemporary Indian luxury.”

Speaking on the occasion Manish Malhotra, Founder & Creative Director added, “Collaborating with Fratelli Vineyards for this milestone edition of SETTE was a true celebration of craftsmanship. Winemaking and couture share a common language — patience, attention to detail, and a dedication to creating something timeless. This limited edition allowed us to translate that philosophy into a design that is both rooted in heritage and unmistakably contemporary.”

The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Sangiovese, aged in French oak barrels. It presents notes of raspberry, violet, and blackcurrant with hints of vanilla and spice, and is described as smooth, structured, and balanced.

Following this release, the original vineyard from which this vintage was sourced will be replanted, marking a renewal of the land and the beginning of a new phase for the estate. As the final bottling from the founding vineyard, this edition links past and future, combining heritage with a new chapter for the label.
