Birla Opus Paints Expanded Retail Presence with Experiential Studios in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai

Birla Opus Paints, the decorative paints division of Grasim Industries under the Aditya Birla Group, launched two new Company Owned and Company Operated Paint Studios in Worli, Mumbai and Vashi, Navi Mumbai on March 25, 2025. These launches followed earlier openings in Gurugram and Lucknow and marked a continued effort by the brand to expand its retail presence across the country.

The newly inaugurated studios were conceptualised to move beyond traditional retail formats by offering an immersive and experience-led approach to paint selection and interior solutions. The centres provided visitors with access to expert consultation on colour selection, textures, and application techniques. Additionally, the studios integrated visualisation tools to help customers preview shades in realistic settings and explore a diverse range of finishes, wallpapers, and speciality coatings.

Rakshit Hargave, CEO of Birla Opus Paints, remarked that the initiative was aligned with changing consumer preferences and the growing demand for more personalised and informed home decor decisions. He noted that each studio housed the brand’s full portfolio of over 170 products and aimed to provide a comprehensive offering under one roof.

Located at Vasvani Chambers in Worli and Satra Plaza in Vashi, the studios also featured designated workspaces for architects and interior designers, enabling them to access samples, resources, and technical support. In addition to product offerings, the centres facilitated professional painting services under the brand’s Paint Craft initiative. The design and curation of the studios incorporated elements inspired by local culture and architecture to reflect regional sensibilities.
