We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon, completely unaware we'd end up lingering for hours. Cedar Club House appears transplanted from a European bistro and seamlessly positioned in Delhi's heart. Externally, it sits discreetly within Janpath's peaceful side streets, opposite Tolstoy House—an elegant entrance to superior dining. Internally, everything feels deliberately selected and serene: polished marble surfaces, bold black-and-white geometric flooring, and that stunning central water feature that remarkably achieves both grandeur and tranquillity.

The seating transitions gracefully from the primary dining space, adorned in gentle dusky pinks, powder blues, and cream shades reminiscent of those impeccably styled European drawing rooms, into a more atmospheric bar area perfect for evening discussions. Every section is so carefully considered that photography becomes inevitable, and if you appreciate aesthetically pleasing dining environments, this absolutely suits you.

The illumination remains warm without dimness, acoustics ideal for conversation, and those meticulously selected colour schemes establish an ambience that's simultaneously refined and remarkably inviting. Regarding mains, we shared the Garlic Parmesan Cream Cheese Pasta and the BBQ Cottage Cheese Hand-Tossed Pizza. The pasta proved absolutely extraordinary—served steaming hot in a shallow dish, the sauce was rich and deeply gratifying. The slow-roasted garlic delivered incredible umami depth, whilst the aged parmesan contributed sharp complexity. The pizza demonstrated equal impressiveness and revealed the kitchen's meticulous attention. The hand-tossed base featured those perfect charred edges we adore, with sufficient structure supporting the generous toppings.

Then arrived dessert—the Pistachio Tres Leches we simply couldn't decline. Here, Cedar truly demonstrated their pastry expertise. The cake was impossibly moist, saturated in that classic three-milk blend, yet elevated through rich, nutty pistachio flavours, adding both texture and sophistication. Each mouthful proved creamy, indulgent, and perfectly balanced—not excessively sweet, with pistachio providing a lovely earthy element, making this dessert feel both familiar and distinctive.
