Fun Office Games and Activities to Play at Workplace!

Well, let's talk about it: every employee dreams of having a fun day at work, where they only have fun. We see the waves of laughter rolling, but it's time to finally make it happen on the first of April, as this day is observed as International Fun at Work Day. The plan is simple for your office: ditch your laptops and replace them with fun games we have mentioned in this article and celebrate the day. Don't forget to take permission from your bosses and managers, or rather, include them in the activities, because everybody deserves a day off without actually taking a day off. 

Office Scavenger Hunts 

What better than a scavenger hunt to play at your office? Divide your office colleagues into teams and give them a list of items to find tasks to complete, or riddles to solve. These tasks can involve finding specific objects, taking photos in certain locations, or performing creative challenges to reach the ultimate prize. 

Swap your Departments

This one is undoubtedly going to be a one-of-a-kind idea where you exchange departments and work under another team. Basically, if you are in the finance team, you swap your department and work for marketing and perform their tasks. 

Guess the Song, Pick the Object

This one's for all the music connoisseurs in the office. All you need to do is select a few songs and gather a few objects that are mentioned in the lyrics of the songs. Make a team of 2, play the song and let the players pick the object in the succeeding song from a pile of items on the table. The player who picks the correct object first wins the game. 

What's on your Desk 

Office desks are survival kits for many of us. We store things that keep us going, snacks that fill our stomachs during snacking hours and useless stuff that's just lying there for ages. Why not make good use of it by playing a game in the free hours? Ask all your colleagues to take out their desk essentials and stack them to see who has the most elements. To make it more fun, you can ask people to stack the most useless things they feel they hold. 

Play-A-Skit 

This game is a fantastic way to get everyone involved in a fun and relaxed way. Assign participants to groups of eight or fewer. Give each team a set of six randomly selected things and five minutes to use all of the objects to create a two to three-minute skit. The groups can choose their own topic, or you can suggest one for them. Ask everyone to vote on their favourite skit at the conclusion of the activity.

Never Have I Ever - Office Version 

Never Have I Ever is always fun, but the office version adds a spice to it. You can ask questions like "Never have I ever lied for a leave,' or 'Never have I ever reached late to the office.' You can add questions according to your office environment. 

Guess the Childhood Photograph 

This game will take everyone on a nostalgic ride. Gather everybody's childhood pictures and stick them on a wall when no one is watching. Later, ask everyone to identify the pictures. To make the game more interesting, you can also keep levels - show the eyes first and unveil other parts to make the game more challenging. 

Two Truths, One Lie

Two Truths and One Lie is one of the interesting office games to play at work with your teammates. Participants will take turns making three statements about themselves. Two of these statements are true, while one is a lie. Then the other employees have to guess the falsehood. The first employee to guess correctly wins a point.
