With the long weekend here, India is observing its 75th Republic Day this Friday, and cities have geared up to organize various festivals around the same. From government-run fests to popular exhibitions and hotels offering food festivals, there is much to witness with your loved ones. Check out these events in your city around the weekend. 


1. Kala Ghoda Arts Festival



One of the most awaited festivals In Mumbai, the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is being organized across 25 venues with more than 300 programmes spanning visual arts, dance, theatre, music, literature, heritage walks, urban design, stand-up comedy, and more. So, if you have not visited till now, this weekend is the perfect time!

When: Till January 28, 2024; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

2. Mumbai Festival



Organized by Maharashtra Tourism, the Mumbai festival is a one-stop destination for food, music, arts, shopping, games, and much more. The fest allows you to play Indian games, and shop from the expo that offers the best of the state's heritage and cultural products. All in all, the event has got you sorted for the weekend!

When: January 20 to 28, 2024; 4 p.m. to 10 p.m.

3. Windmill Festival 


If you are planning to take your kids out this weekend, you might like to check out the Windmill festival which offers an array of 35+ free workshops and fun-filled experiences, a Live petting zoo, an exciting encounter with beloved cartoons which could be a  thrilling meet and greet for Kids! The fest also aims to give an interactive learning experience coupled with fun games and amusing rides for your kids!

4.  Kolhapuri Food Festival


Who does not want to indulge in the regional flavours of this country? This Republic Day, make your way to the The Park's Kolhapuri Food Festival. Their specially curated menu and live food counters transport you to the heart of Maharashtrian culinary traditions. The venue echoes the soulful notes of Kolhapuri music, creating an atmosphere that resonates with the spirit of the region. So, enjoy this buffet this long weekend!

5. Vintage Car Fiesta



Do you love vintage cars and bikes? Well, it is time for you to get out and enjoy the most-awaited annual Vintage Car Fiesta here in Mumbai. Around 100 vintage and classic cars, including supercars, will participate in the Vintage and Classic Car Club of India (VCCCI). The drive will be flagged off at 9 a.m. from the WTC and will be followed by over 90 two-wheelers to Worli Seaface and back. Such a sight it will be!
