When Homegrown and International Brands Became Friends: Brand Collaborations that we Loved!

It's always a delight to see brands team up and provide their customer with an experience they can't forget. So here are some brand collaborations that were a win-win for all.

Brand collaborations are a great way to mingle your brand's USP with another player that is acing in its category and creating something that creates wonder. It doubles up the game of integration to create a unique output when a local brand knows the nuances of the audience and another brand provides its expertise. Hence, on Friendship's Day, we have got some collaborations between a few homegrown and international brands that caught our attention. 

The Whole Truth x Ultrahuman

Back to the time when two brands who adopt a health-first approach came together to launch a special product. As a part of this collaboration, The Whole Truth - launched a new protein bar with Ultrahuman - a health-tech brand that manufactures continuous glucose tracking arm-patches and heart rate variability tracking rings 'The Whole Truth x Ultra Human  Protein Bar.' With highly potent and nutritious ingredients like Chaga Mushroom and Lion’s Mane, The Whole Truth called it their ‘most nutritionally potent bar yet.’

Bira x Crocs

Bira - an alcohol brand and Crocs - a footwear brand coming together sounds odd, right? Well, you won't be surprised when you look at the outcome. The two brands launched the Bira91 x Crocs Classic Clog, a Crocs footwear with Bira's playful colours and the monkey mascot. 

IndiGo x Mokobara

IndiGo x Mokobara

Recently IndiGo - the airline company and Mokobara - an accessory brand collaborated to launch a special product. They launched the special 'Moko 6E' luggage which has a standard IndiGo colour code. The collection has a cabin bag and a check-in bag. 

Fizzy Goblet x Tribe and Fizzy Goblet x Toms

Fizz Goblet - a designer footwear and accessories brand has been very active with its collaborations. Recently, the brand has collaborated with the international footwear brand Toms to launch the 'Toms x Fizzy Goblet' collection featuring pearl, floral prints and embroidered shoes and juttis. The brand has also partnered with Tribe Amarpali - an online jewellery brand to introduce limited-edition flats and juttis. Earlier, Fizzy Goblet also partnered with Puma to launch the limited-edition sneakers. 

Parle G x Bombay Sweet Shop 

Parle-G, India’s beloved biscuit brand partnered with Bombay Sweet Shop, a new-age mithai shop in a first-of-its-kind partnership - to create the Geniusly Sweet Collection. Staying true to their ethos of ‘recreation’, Bombay Sweet Shop presented the biscuit in two delightful mithai-inspired creations - Parle-G Fudge and Chai Biscuit Choco Barks.

Now, that seems like a collaboration that would match the vibe. The lifestyle company partnered with the OTT platform to launch the special 'Stream Edition.' The edition features special Netflix logo-embedded headphones, wireless earbuds, and wireless neckbands. The collaboration also allows consumers who buy this limited edition product range to become eligible for receiving Netflix Fan Events tickets, Netflix merchandise and discounts on other boAt products.

Swiggy x Hotstar

Swiggy and Hotstar caught the pulse of India by collaborating with each other during IPL. In India, it's typical practice to eat your favourite food or snacks while watching an exciting cricket match. During the IPL season, Swiggy integrated its POP feature (selected single-serve meals) inside the Hotstar app, allowing Hotstar users to order the most popular meals without having to leave the app. 

Blue Tokai x Mason & Co

What happens when two gourmet brands collaborate? The outcome of this collab was a range of chocolate bars by Mason & Co., described as ‘Blue Tokai Coffee in a bite-sized bar’ with 5 flavours - from known ones like Café Latte and Café Noir to more curated “Producer Series coffee beans” like Ratnagiri and Riverdale that are mapped to specific farms and producers.

The two iconic Indian brands, known for their marketing, collaborated to launch a special series. The Bira x boAt featured various boAt gadgets with Bira’s playful colours and designs. Bira91 X Boat Rockerz 450 headphones, the Bira91 X Boat Stone portable speaker and the Bira 91 X Boat Stone Spinx 2.0 speaker were the three products launched in this special category. 

House of Masaba x Puma

The Indian fashion designer Masaba who is well-known for her classy designs collaborated with the sneaker brand Puma to launch the House of Masaba x Puma sneaker capsule collection. The classic Cali Sneaker saw a social message from the designer inspired by anxiety and identity. With one shoe inspired by the fight against anxiety and one inspired by identity, she aimed to send a strong message to India’s millennials.
