And it doesn’t stop there. The app goes further by offering communication tools like in-app chat and video calls, enabling users to interact in a safe and supportive environment. With Buddy Up, you’re not just creating friendships, you're building a community where people truly get you. It's a refreshing, secure space where you can be yourself without the fear of judgment.
The Vision Behind Buddy Up Network

Behind every great idea, there’s an even greater story – and Buddy Up Network is no exception. The app was founded by two incredible mothers, Moneisha Gandhi and Gopika Kapoor, who were inspired by their own sons’ experiences with disabilities. Their sons, Vir and Mihaan, have autism and Down Syndrome, respectively, and through their own journey, the two mothers noticed a significant gap in social opportunities for children with disabilities.
While Vir and Mihaan were lucky to find each other and form a strong bond, Moneisha and Gopika quickly realised how hard it was for children with disabilities to find genuine friendships. It’s a struggle that many families face – loneliness, isolation, and a lack of meaningful social connections. This experience became the driving force behind the creation of Buddy Up Network.
However, the journey didn’t just end with their sons’ friendship. Through their shared experience as caregivers, Moneisha and Gopika also realised the power of connecting with others in similar situations. And so, Buddy Up was born – a platform not just for people with disabilities but for caregivers too. Their vision was clear: to create a space where both people with disabilities and their caregivers could connect, find support, and ultimately, build lasting friendships.
It’s a story that comes from the heart – one that highlights the importance of community, understanding, and the power of friendship. And while their sons have formed an incredible bond, Moneisha and Gopika have also found their own support system in each other, which only fuels their passion for making Buddy Up Network a success. What started as a desire to help their children has blossomed into something that can make a real difference in the lives of many others.
