Once considered a purely Western retail tradition, Black Friday has rapidly evolved into a significant shopping period in India. With global labels, Indian brands, and major e-commerce platforms participating, the event now marks the beginning of a week filled with early deals, bundled savings, and sharper-than-usual price drops. Growth from Tier II and III cities has been particularly strong, supported by faster delivery networks and increasingly app-first shopping behaviour. As more brands introduce deeper pricing and wider category participation for 2025, the period increasingly resembles a second festive season—only with steeper discounts and broader digital engagement.

How Black Friday Sales Perform in India

Recent Black Friday sales data shows a marked rise in both popularity and spending patterns across India. In 2024, overall sales grew by 17 percent year-on-year, accompanied by a notable rise in average order value across multiple categories. Electronics led the surge, accounting for 66 percent of all sales, with mobile phones alone contributing nearly half of that share. Beauty, personal care, and home décor also performed strongly, with the latter recording more than 40 percent growth. AoV climbed sharply in wearables (200 percent), computers (25 percent), and home furnishings (24–28 percent). Quick commerce platforms reported a 15 percent uplift compared to a typical weekend, illustrating the shift towards faster fulfilment. Although online shopping dominated, COD transactions rose significantly, even as credit-based payments dipped. Many retailers extended their sale periods across several days to capture demand during the relatively quiet stretch between Diwali and Christmas, using tiered discounts, bundles, and loyalty-driven offers to strengthen conversions across both online and offline channels.

Amazon India – Up to 65% Off with Bank Discounts

Amazon India’s sale begins on 27 November, with early access for Prime members on 26 November. Discounts reach up to 65 percent and include an additional 10 percent through listed bank offers.

Flipkart – Up to 80% Off with Card Discounts

Flipkart’s 23 November event offers up to 80 percent off alongside 10 percent savings on HDFC, Axis, and Bank of Baroda cards. The reductions span electronics, fashion, appliances, and home categories.

Myntra – 40–80% Off with Credit Rewards

Myntra will run its 26 November sale with discounts ranging from 40 to 80 percent. Additional benefits include Myntra credit rewards across selected purchases.

Tata CLiQ – Discounts Across Fashion, Luxury & Palette

Tata CLiQ’s 20–30 November event includes 50–80 percent off on Tata CLiQ Fashion, up to 50 percent off on Tata CLiQ Luxury, and up to 60 percent off on Tata CLiQ Palette. Different categories feature varying levels of reductions.

Ajio – Flat 80% Off with Additional Bank Offer

Ajio’s 26 November sale offers a flat 80 percent discount, combined with a further 12 percent reduction through select bank cards. The markdowns cover several fashion categories.

Reliance Trends – Up to 75% Off on Fashion Collections

Reliance Trends began its 2025 sale on 27 November, offering discounts of up to 75 percent across a wide range of fashion categories. The retailer has historically introduced high-value promotions during this period; last year’s event featured an offer where customers shopping for Rs. 3,499 received an additional Rs. 3,499 worth of products at no extra cost.

Mamaearth – Buy 3 for Rs. 899 Offer

Mamaearth’s 22 November promotion includes a Buy 3 for Rs. 899 offer, supported by an additional SAVE25 coupon. The pricing structure is suited for those restocking everyday skincare.

Shoppers Stop – Up to 50% Off on Premium Categories

Shoppers Stop is running its seasonal sale with discounts of up to 50 percent across premium fashion, beauty, watches, and homewear. Selected purchases also qualify for an additional Rs. 600 off. The sale is available both in-store and online and will run until 30 November 2025.

H&M – Up to 70% Off on Select Categories

H&M will introduce discounts of up to 70 percent from 28 November, along with additional savings on selected items. The reductions include jackets, winter essentials, and accessories, which are expected to reach their lowest seasonal prices.

ZARA – Up to 40% Off Across Key Apparel

ZARA is set to offer up to 40 percent off on coats, shirts, boots, and eveningwear from 26 November. The brand’s seasonal discount period remains one of the more anticipated events for fashion-focused shoppers.

Uniqlo – 50% Discounts and Coupon Offers

Uniqlo’s 18–22 November sale will feature 50 percent discounts along with additional coupons on Heattech, outerwear, and loungewear. The offers provide value for those seeking reliable winter basics during the seasonal sale period in India.

Nike – Up to 30% Off with Additional Code

Nike is offering up to 30 percent off selected products, with an extra 10 percent available through the code GEARUP. The discounts apply to a range of performancewear and footwear.

Adidas – Buy 2, Get 70% Off
