Want to have a dhaansu day out? Visit Dhansoo café in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon!

We recently landed at the Dhansoo café outlet in Ambience Mall, Gurgaon and it was an absolutely delicious experience.

Dhansoo café is a well-lit place with vibrant and colourful indoors. The indoor has a touch of greenery with floating indoor plants throwing some positive vibes your way. As you step through the entrance of the café, you are greeted with a comfortable seating arrangement surrounded by the nature-based wall décor. If you turn to your left from the entrance, a large screen broadcasting the highlights of a cricket match will catch your attention. The café features a well-designed and well-organized bar with additional seating, adorned with chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.

The menu has a lot of options with vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood options. Dhansoo delivers on-spot traditional and authentic recipes with a modernized touch. We ordered appetizers and drinks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. The Dhansoo corn seekh, puff samosa, and of course, marinated spicy veg momos (how can we forget that when in Delhi?) were the appetizers to get us all hyped up for the main course. The Dhansoo corn seekh, served with green mint chutney, sits perfectly on our taste buds. The puff samosa tasted decent with a little filling that didn’t meet our expectations. And lastly, the spicy veg momos were perfectly cooked with juicy and spicy fillings.

Coming to the main course, we ordered dal makhani and pasta. Dal Makhni stole our hearts right away from the very first bite. The rich creamy dal makhani with soft buttery naan tasted nothing less than heavenly. However, the pasta would have been much better if there was more white sauce.

Desserts that just melt your heart

We concluded our meal with Yadon ki Churri (served with Kalakand and Rabri) and Parched (served with spicy noodles, red rice paper, and chocolate mousse). While the roti churma had a crunchy texture with excellent presentation, Parched won our hearts. The crunchy rice paper complemented the creamy, velvety, and lip-smackingly excellent chocolate mousse. It didn’t just melt in our mouths but also melted our hearts.

Besides good food, the staff was very friendly and made sure the experience at the café is pleasant for us. Although the service was delayed, the pleasant ambience and delicious food made up for it.

Overall, the place is perfect for a lunch date with your friends and family.
