Here's why Shy in Chembur, Mumbai should be your new food spot!

This restaurant and bar has an old-world charm to it and serves one of the best pizzas and Soufflés! Shy is a good spot for those looking for a comforting meal with an ambience that can light up the mood.

If words relaxing and enchanting had an appearance, it would be Shy in Chembur, a newly opened restaurant and bar that has made us go crazy with its aesthetic decor and heartwarming food. We recently dined at this place, and here are 5 reasons why you should visit the same.

1. Vintage interiors

We all deserve a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and if a day-long trip isn't possible, what one can at least do is treat themselves with a nice meal. Shy can be perfect for that, as it takes you to a different time with vintage elements and spacious seating. The place is divided into three sections: the old room, the library room, and the wood-fired pizza room and with white marble-topped old-school moldings, seductively lit bottles, vintage patinated mirrors, plants, books, vintage frames, chandeliers, and much more, Shy does look like a dream.

2. Pizzas, kebabs, and more

The menu features Italian, Asian, Indian, and Chinese delicacies, but what we loved the most was their Truffle Shuffle Pizza and Fried Chicken Board. The crust of the pizza was fresh with a generous topping of cheese and truffle and was a delight to have. The chicken board set the mood just right, featuring tender chicken strips served with 3 different dips. Kerala-style mushroom tacos tasted like home though the soft shells we doubt were not made fresh. But the Adana Kebabs served on a massive naan, with salad and rice on the side, was definitely delectable and worth trying.

3. Dessert

The above were our absolute favorites, but the dessert topped the list. The Molten Lava Souffle is a must-try. It was served piping hot and made even more chocolaty with melted chocolate. A foamy, creamy, warm, and bitter-sweet flavour is what we expected, and that's exactly what was served.

4. Quick service

The staff is quick, and courteous, and ensures that the food is served hot on time. You will hardly get to your 6th or 7th photo/video, and the food would have made its appearance on the table by then. So, yep, Shy is quick.

5. Worth your penny

The menu is a little expensive but so worth it all as the portions are great, brought real quick, and the vibe sets the mood just right. The setting and the decor also play an important role in making your meal special, so it's safe to say that Shy is worth burning a little hole in the pocket once in a while :D
