Srinagar shivers as the city records the lowest night of the season

As the temperature dipped down to 5 degrees below the freezing point, Srinagar city shivered on Sunday night. According to a few officials, the minimum temperature in Srinagar went down to minus 5.8 degrees celsius making the whole city observe the coldest night of this season so far. Pahalgam recorded a minimum temperature of 7 degrees.

The popular sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik won the hearts of people yet again by creating a giant Santa on Gopalpur beach. In a unique attempt, the artist used around 1,500 kg of tomatoes to create a 27-foot-high, 60-foot-long and 45-foot-wide Santa on the occasion. Patnaik completed the installation around 2 days along with 15 of her students.
