1. New Vande Bharat train breaks the record for speed

The upgraded new Vande Bharat train broke the record of a bullet train by clocking the speed of 100 km/hr in just 52 seconds during its trial run in Mumbai and Ahmedabad recently. Subsequently, the train was able to cover 491 km of distance in five hours and 14 minutes while the speed was 130 kmph.

2. Ganesh laddoo auctioned for Rs. 44,99,999 in Hyderabad

The 12 kg laddoo made by the Marakatha Shree Lakshmi Ganapati Utsav Pandal has been auctioned for ₹ 44,99,999, being the highest bid for a laddoo in the cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad, along with both the Telugu States. The laddoo was taken by a couple named Geethapriya and Venkata Rao. Before this, Balapur Ganesh laddoo was auctioned for Rs 24.60 lakh a day ago.

3. Jharkhand village residents build their own bridge

The residents of Bogasadam in Chatra district, after a very cold response from the government for a long time, built a bridge across a river on their own. They used local products like bamboo, wood, nut volts, tyres, nails, and ropes to build the 200-feet long bridge. With the lack of a bridge, villagers were facing various troubles in crossing the river, which would affect their daily schedules.

4. Assam gets 'library on trees' to entice students

A 'library on wheels' has been set up by NGO JCI Femina to make reading interesting for school students. It has been put up at Girls’ High School in Mariani, and the library has various comics, novels, autobiographies, and other books in Assamese, Hindi, and English. Now, the school is also planning to hire a teacher for the library.

5. Kerala IAS officer scales Mount Nun; unfurls Indian flag

Arjun Pandian, who is an IAS officer from Idukki, Kerala, has unfurled the Indian flag on the top of Mount Nun, located on the border of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. Pandian had developed an interest in mountaineering during the training of his civil service and hence, took part in this expedition to mark 75 years of India's Independence.
