The Centre has issued an advisory to seven states, including Delhi, over the spike in Coronavirus cases. The government has asked to ramp up testing, promote Covid-appropriate behaviour and increase the speed of vaccination, also keeping in mind that the festival season is around the corner.

After Akasa Air was granted the Air Operator Certificate from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, it began its official commercial operations. The first flight of the airline operated between Mumbai to Ahmedabad.
