1. Mumbai’s new bus stands to have exercise bars

Nearly 105 bus stops will be renovated in Mumbai in the coming months but with a few additional features. The bus stops will have an exercise bar and the rooftops will be utilized to increase the “green cover” of the city. The government is also planning to increase the fleet of AC buses in Mumbai.

2. Hyderabad is recognized as the “Tree city of the world” by the UN

Hyderabad, for the second year, has been recognized as the “Tree city of the world” by the Arbor Day Foundation and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. Reportedly, nearly 3,50,56,635 trees have been planted over the last two years in the city.

3. Transgender community to handle water treatment plant in Odisha

To increase the participation of the transgender community in the governance,  the Water Corporation of Odisha (WATCO) has handed over the overall operations and maintenance of its Pratapnagari WTP in Cuttack to a transgender SHG named Bahuchara Mata Transgender SHG. As per reports, 31 members have been trained for this work.

4. 2.5 years old enters World Records for making maximum paintings

Anvi Vishesh Agrawal, who is two and half years old from Bhubaneswar has entered the World Book of Records for creating 72 paintings – the maximum number of paintings made by a toddler. Avni has been involved in this art since she was 9 months old. Moreover, the toddler is aware of more than 37 techniques of painting.

5. Noida metro coaches can be booked to host celebrations

The Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is soon going to allow people to have celebrations at metro coaches for events such as birthdays, pre-wedding shoots, and wedding anniversaries. NMRC will also hire an event management firm for making the coaches an affordable party venue where only 50 people will be allowed in each coach.
