1. Karnataka to provide free schooling, shelters, and food to orphans due to COVID-19


The Karnataka government has decided to provide aid to those children who lost both their parents to COVID-19. According to the move, the government will provide free schooling, shelter, and food, which is likely to benefit more than 25,601 children. Apart from this, a compensation amount will also be given to the kin of these children.

According to Knight Frank India, Hyderabad has been ranked 128 globally in the appreciation in housing prices while being the city with the biggest appreciation in housing prices in India. Hyderabad has recorded a 2.5 percent year-on-year (YOY) growth in house prices. On the other hand, Chennai has been ranked 131, Kolkata- 135, and Ahmedabad- 139.

Nitesh Kumar, who belongs from Haryana, won double gold at the fourth Para-Badminton National Championship that ended on December 27.
