35 craft units from across the country will be participating in this year’s “Kuteera”. This exhibition is a sale of traditional and contemporary handcrafted home products and accessories.
If you happen to be in Bangalore in the coming weeks, there’s a great opportunity for you to get your hands on some amazing handcrafted products like home decor items, footwear, toys, and many more such cool things. If you are a fan of handcrafted products and adore how they have a rustic and aesthetic charm to them, then don’t miss out on ‘Kuteera 2021’ at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishat.
Organized by The Crafts Council of Karnataka, Kuteera aims at providing marketing support to craftspersons, an opportunity to showcase new design and product developments, and at bridging the gap between crafts communities and the consumer.
This year, there will be 35 craft units from different parts of the country that will present their handcrafted products under one roof. This exhibition will have a mix of products in traditional as well as contemporary designs and styles, and there’s going to be a lot to pick from. How exciting is that!
The spotlight will be the Tribal jewellery from Karnataka, Ikat and handlooms from Andhra, and Ajrak Yardage from Gujarat. Other than that, there will also be stalls selling home décor and lifestyle accessories made with Bamboo and grass. Some will have Masland mats from West Bengal, miniature paintings from Rajasthan, shawls from Bhuj, Pattachitra & Ikat yardage from Orissa.
The exhibition will also house Madhubani Paintings, Banjara Embroidery of Karnataka, Zari Jutis of Haryana, and leather Puppets from Telangana. We are also excited to tell you that there’ll be Embroidery from Karnataka, brass items from Moradabad, and much more. This exhibition is definitely a shopping paradise for all those who love art and craft a little too much. So, if you are also a handicraft lover, then Kuteera 2021 will surely bring a smile to your face!
