Mumbaikars, India’s first permanent rooftop Jio drive-in theatre is here in the city and we're all ready for this cinematic ride!

Jio Drive-In is an epic 290 car, open-air rooftop cinema operated and managed by PVR Ltd and is now open for all the movie freaks who are looking for a magical experience.

Watching a movie in a theatre is all fun, but how about watching it with your loved ones right under the stars? Drive-in movie theatres are an entertainment staple from the late 1950s to - early '80s, where movie enthusiasts would watch movies on a large outdoor screen visible from the comfort of their cars. It does sound grand, right? And, Mumbaikars, if you have wished for something like this, then head to BKC! Because it now has India's first permanent drive-in theater 'Jio drive-In'.

Bringing back the nostalgia of watching movies under the open sky, Jio Drive-In theatre is a treat for movie lovers. This 290 car, open-air rooftop cinema is built on the same location as Mumbai’s first iconic drive-in theatre in 1977. The area can accommodate 290 cars, where maximum of four people are allowed in each car. One can pre-book their tickets and even food and beverages online through BookMyShow and the PVR app.

There are also various themed food trucks and many options for food and beverages available. The tickets for each car start at Rs. 1,200 only. Jio drive-In has taken its inspiration from the entertainment capital, Las Vegas, and is broadcasting the soundtrack over FM signal through the sound system installed in the car. We can't wait to watch our favorite movie in this uber-cool drive-in that is not just spacious but also has some delicious food options!
