1. Karnataka allows Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations for five days

Karnataka government has allowed celebrations of Ganesh Chaturthi in the districts with less than 2% of Coronavirus positivity rate for five days. A maximum of 20 people will be allowed in the celebrations and during immersion. No celebrations will be held after 9 P.M., and not more than 4 feet of Ganesha idol will be allowed to be placed anywhere in the state.

2. Indore's pink buses get women drivers

The two pink buses in Indore that are only meant for women passengers have got women drivers. Ritu Narwal and Archana Katare are the drivers of the buses launched in 2019. After the launch, the buses had women conductors but not drivers.

3. Mumbai police band performs on Money Heist song with instruments

Mumbai police are again winning the hearts of people on social media by performing on 'Bella Ciao', the song of Money Heist, since the final season of the show premiered on September 3. It was part of the project 'Khaki Studio' in which they have decided to release one video on Monday.

4. UP teacher spares 10% of salary for menstrual hygiene awareness

Vandana Singh, an English teacher from Uttar Pradesh, spends 10% of her salary every month to purchase sanitary pads to further distribute them among women living in rural areas. She has also bought five sewing machines for girls to provide training to make sanitary napkins.

5. Chhattisgarh teacher uses products wrappers to teach English

To remove the fear of English from the minds of tribal students, Pramod Kumar Shukla started the 'English Club' under which he conducted many activities for them. As part of it, he told students to bring wrappers of the products they used and made them read out what was written on the wrappers to correct their pronunciation and remove the fear of English. He has been honored with President’s award on this Teacher's Day.
