Making the whole country proud, Avni Lekhara, a 19-year-old Indian shooter, has bagged the gold medal in women's 10m AR Standing SH1 final at the Tokyo Paralympics. Apart from this, India has also got a Silver and Bronze medal in different sports in the Paralympics.

2. Army Sports Institute named after Neeraj Chopra

Army Sports Institute, a stadium based in Pune, Maharashtra, has been named after the Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Neeraj Chopra to pay tribute to him. The stadium will be known as Neeraj Chopra stadium. The javelin thrower was inducted into the Indian Army in 2016 through sports quota at the rank of Naib Subedar, after which he had received training in this institute.

3. Bharat Darshan train starts to cover major tourist places

Indian Railways have started a special tourist train in the country named Bharat Darshan to cover some of the major tourist places of the country. One can book the train through the website of IRCTC. The train will cover places like Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Nishkalank Mahadev Sea Temple, Jodhpur, Jaipur, Udaipur, Statue of Unity, etc.

4. Jallianwala Bagh renovated with new features

A recent document published by the Zoological Survey of India has stated that India has added 557 new species to its fauna. After this, the number has reached 1,02,718 fauna species. Some of them include Trimeresulus Salazar from Arunachal Pradesh, Lycodon deccanensis from Karnataka, Spaerotheca Bengaluru from Bengaluru, etc.
