1. Kerala starts 24×7 drive-through vaccination in Thiruvananthapuram

To boost up the vaccination drive in Kerala, the state has launched a 24×7 drive-through vaccination center in the capital city, Thiruvananthapuram. The facility has been opened up at Government Women's college in Vazhuthacadu for which people will have to register online to get the dose.

2. 20-year-old becomes first youngest female RJ of North Kashmir

Samaniya Bhat, the 20-year-old from Baramulla, has become the first youngest female RJ of North Kashmir. She had applied for the job along with 250 candidates out of which she, and the other 3 male candidates got selected.

3. Tamil Nadu panchayat uses waste to generate electricity

Kanjirangal panchayat in the Sivaganga district of Tamil Nadu has eight villages under it and has produced 600 units of electricity by utilizing waste. As the villages did not have proper disposal for the waste, an electricity-generating unit was set up that helped in the disposal while also producing electricity. The initiative was taken under National Rurban Mission using Rs 65 lakh.

4. Odisha student creates giant rakhi with matchsticks

Saraswat Ranjan Sahoo, a Puri-based college student, created a unique rakhi for Raksha Bandhan by using matchsticks. He took a total of 10 hours to make the rakhi with 1,550 matchsticks. In addition, the middle part of the rakhi contains the face of Lord Balabhadra.
