Giving relief to the weavers in the state, the Cheif Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekhar Rao, has announced to provide Rs 5 lakh life insurance coverage to families of the weavers who have lost their earning member due to COVID-19. The government may also announce another supportive scheme for them in the coming future.

The 23-year-old from Kota, Palak Sharma, has won 'The Diana Award', 'Plan India Impact Award', and the 'Bangladesh Digital Social Innovation Forum Award' for her ground-level works, including efforts to end period poverty, rural sanitation, and sustainable development during COVID-19.

3. Upcoming park in Bhopal to be made from ashes of COVID patients

A park is being developed in MP's Bhopal at a crematorium in Bhadbhada Vishram Ghat, where the ashes of those who died due to COVID-19 will be used. The relatives of the patients were not able to take the ashes due to lockdown, which now accounts for 21 truckloads. Apart from this, 3,500 to 4,000 plants will also be grown in the area.

4. Mizoram residents use the traditional fishing method

The locals of Mizoram are using a traditional and eco-friendly method for fishing where they use tree bark or roots after crushing and then dip those in the water. This method does not impact other living organisms, and one can fetch fish by making them unconscious for a while.

5. J&K cop saves three women struggling in floodwaters

Under the directions of Kathua's Senior Superintendent of Police, R C Kotwal, a team of police personnel went to the Chabbe Chak village in Kathua district and rescued three women, namely Shakuntala Devi, Shallu Devi, and Anju Bala, who were stuck in flood due to heavy rainfall.
