Night curfew in Noida and Ghaziabad till April 17; Check out the list of rules during the curfew

The government of Uttar Pradesh has ordered a night curfew in Noida and Ghaziabad from 10 pm to 5 am. Read out the rules of curfew here!

Following other cities to check the spread of Coronavirus cases, the Uttar Pradesh government has imposed a night curfew in Noida and Ghaziabad. Starting from April 8, the curfew will remain in force till April 17.

The curfew timings at both places will be between 10 pm to 5 am. Here's a list of what is allowed and what is not in the curfew:

What is allowed?

1. Emergency services and essential services are allowed.

2. Groceries and nutriment shops will operate without restrictions.

3. Hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic centres, medicinal clinics, and pharmacies can operate during curfew hours.

4. Pharmaceutical companies and medical insurance offices can also operate.

5. Pregnant women and patients are allowed to move to obtain healthcare services.

6. Police, civil defense, fire, and sanitation workers to continue their work with their valid identification cards.

7. Bakeries, confectioners, diaries, and meat shops can function.

8. Banks, ATMs, print and electronic media, internet, and cable-related services are allowed to work.

9. Petrol pumps, LPG, CNG, and gas outlets can function normally.

10. Door-to-door delivery of food items will be allowed.

11. Passengers coming from airports, railway stations, and interstate bus terminus in both districts are allowed with a valid ticket.

What is not allowed?

1. Markets, pubs, bars, nightclubs and other public places to be closed at 10 pm.

2. All social occasions from weddings, celebrations at halls and banquet halls to end at 10 pm.

3. Shopping complexes and markets to be closed at 10 pm.

4. Restaurants to be allowed for an extra hour i.e. to be closed at 11 pm so that they can complete the sanitization work.

5. Parks, community centres and gyms to be closed during the curfew.

6. Maids and domestic servants are not allowed in the curfew hours.

7. All government and private educational institutions are not allowed to hold any physical classes till April 17.

8. Physical classes in coaching institutions will also remain closed.

People in Noida and Ghaziabad will have to adhere to COVID-19 rules and social distancing norms.
