COVID restrictions in Maharashtra knocking again; Check out the new rules

Owing to increasing cases of Coronavirus in the state, COVID restrictions in Maharashtra are back making cinema halls, restaurants and hotels operate on 50% capacity.

COVID restrictions in Maharashtra have made a U-turn after Coronavirus cases observed to be on a rise in the city.

Maharashtra government, on March 15, announced fresh restrictions for the state allowing cinema halls, restaurants, and hotels to operate on 50% capacity.

According to the rules, only those people who will be wearing a mask will be allowed to enter the cinema halls, malls and restaurants.

The government has also asked the above-mentioned establishments to make arrangements for sanitizer and security personnel. If these places fail to enforce the rules, they will be closed down till further notice.

The restrictions have also been imposed on the social, cultural, political, and religious gatherings. Only 50 people are allowed at a wedding and 20 at the funeral, as per the rules.

Apart from this, the government has also made sure that the rules of home quarantine are followed properly. The patients under home quarantine will have to inform local authorities about them. They will also need to provide information about the doctor under whom they are being treated. 

The stamp on the hands of the patients is also compulsory and a board containing information on 14-day isolation needs to be fixed on the door.

The government has also emphasized Work from Home if possible and has allowed offices to work on 50% capacity. However, this does not include health and other essential services.
