Tourists to witness 20 mini-festivals in Maharashtra;  local culture of the state will be visible in these festivals!

The 20 mini-festivals in Maharashtra will be organized in Konkan, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, and Nagpur in February and March. Check out these amazing festivals below!

After a difficult year of pandemic, Maharashtra is all set to welcome tourists on its earth again. The state tourism department has announced that 20 mini-festivals in Maharashtra will be held in six regions including Konkan, Pune, Nashik, Aurangabad, Amravati, and Nagpur.

The department has decided to boost tourism in the state which has been affected due to Coronavirus pandemic. However, the festivals will also provide tourists with an opportunity to celebrate the cultural heritage of the state.

The regional offices of the Directorate of Tourism will organize the festivals in February and March with the help of the local district administration.

What's there for Nashik

Some of the landmark festivals that will be held in Nashik include Grape Harvesting Festival in the Ahmednagar district. Apart from this, Nandur Madhyameshwar Festival also be held in the same district.

Though, Bhandardara Festival and Laling Fort Festival will be organized in the Dhule district.

Here, Pune people!

Pune will witness the iconic Junnar Grape Festival, Wai Festival in Satara district, and Panhala Festival in Kolhapur district.

Keep your ears open, dear Konkan

In the Konkan region, one can visit the popular festivals such as Vengurla (Sagareshwar) Festival in Sindhudurg district.

Also, Shrivardhan Festival in Raigad district, Katal shilpa Festival and Anjarle Festival in Ratnagiri district will be held.

And now, Aurangabad

Festivals planned in the Aurangabad division is Ter Festival in the Osmanabad district. Kapildhara Festival in the Beed district and Hottal Festival in the Nanded district is also in the plan.

All about Amravati

Sindkhed Raja Festival in Nagpur district and Narnala Fort Festival in Akola district will be there in Amravati. Tipeshwar Forest Festival in Yavatmal district will also be under the Amravati region.

Now, Nagpur

The Nagpur division will organise the illustrious festivals including Ramtek Festival in Nagpur district. It will also organise Bor Dam and Wildlife Festival in Vardha district and Bodalkasa Bird Festival in Gondia district.

The state tourism department of Maharashtra has extended an amount of Rs 100 Lakh for organising these 20 festivals.

The mini festivals will help feature the less explored destinations prominently on the Maharashtra tourism map.
