Nehru Zoological park of Hyderabad receives ISO certificate from the UK

After inspecting the necessary parameters, the team from HYM gave the ISO certificate to the Nehru Zoological park of Hyderabad.

The Nehru Zoological park of Hyderabad has become the first zoo in the country to obtain the ISO certificate from Accreditation Service for Certifying Bodies (ASCB), United Kingdom.

After assessing the zoo on the necessary standards, a team of auditors from HYM International Certifications issued the ISO 9001:2015 Certification. The criteria included the area of sanitization, food processing, animal breeding, zoo hospital, animal care, hygiene maintenance, and establishment. The team of auditors included the retired district judge, T. Sundar Ramaiah, Auditor, C. Madhu Babu, and Managing Director, Life Time Membership QCI, Sivaiah Alapati.

The team had inspected all works carried out in the zoo. It, ultimately, turned out to have fulfilled all the criteria for the certification.

Later, the certificate was produced before the Minister of Forests and Environment, Allola Indrakaran Reddy. The minister also appreciated the achievement of forest officials.

Increasing wild lives in Nehru Zoological park of Hyderabad

The park was established in 1963 and is also observing the increasing number of wild lives on its premises. The number of tigers and Indian Gaur has also gone up in the park.
