We are talking about the movies shot in the iconic locations of the city, places that have also been part of our memories. 1. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na

This iconic film from 2008 needs to introduction, and we are sure you can binge this movie again and again. A story revolving around young college graduates from Mumbai, this film showcases quite a few iconic locations. The college scenes in the beginning of the film were shot at St Xavier’s College, another iconic location is the Bandra fort where the song Kabhi Kabhi Aditi was shot.

2. Wake up sid

This gem of a film from 2009 put Ayan Mukerji on the map, as Wake Up Sid won multiple awards. Based in Mumbai, the film showcases the busy lifestyle of the city, especially the lanes of South Bombay. The film also encapsulates the beauty of Marine Drive with the song Iktara playing in the background. Oh, and the college sequence was shot at HR College in Churchgate.

3. Munna Bhai MBBS

We got another iconic film on the list, and this time it’s a blockbuster from 2003. This film not only made Munna and Circuit characters but also introduced us to the marvel of Rajkumar Hirani. In the film, the part where you see Munna’s house is actually shot at the Dhobi Ghat.

4. The Lunch box

One of the most amazing movies in terms of the storyline, this is one of the must-watch films to get a vibe of Mumbai. The entire film is based on the quintessential dabbawalas of Mumbai, who in the film managed to bring two strangers together. The film also has a sequence shot in the local train where Irrfan Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui are seen on their way to work.

5. Gully Boy

One of the more recent films on the list, Gully Boy is not only shot in Mumbai but bring out the essence of the city. Revolving around the life of slum dweller Murad Ahmed, most of the film is shot in Dharavi. Some other location where the film was shot includes Kurla station, the scene where Murad seems to be learning from the advice given by Divine was shot at Wadi Bunder in Mazgaon, whereas, the Aazadi song was shot at Atria Mall in Worli.
