Do you know about the amusing story of the Navapur railway station? Navapur is a Taluka headquarters in Nandurbar district, Maharashtra. Though geographically, the Navapur railway junction is situated partly in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
To inform people about the divide, a bench has been placed on the platform. The bench’s half side is in Maharashtra, pointing towards the state, and the other half of the bench is in the Tapi district of Gujarat, which points towards the state of Gujarat. So, if you are found drinking on the Gujarat side of the railway station, you might be taken into custody. Well, Gujarat is a ‘dry state.’
