The Bombay Art Society is presenting its 128th All India annual Art Exhibition at Jehangir Art Gallery this year. The Art Society has been promoting visual arts for the last 132 years. Not known to many, but the scholarships and awards have been a great inspiration to painters like Ravi Shankar Rawal, J. P. Ganguly, Amrita Sher-Gil, and many more.
The Bombay Art Society exhibition that started in 1888 is considered as the talent hunt in the city of dreams, Mumbai. The all India art exhibition has been an important art event on the calendar for the visual art enthusiasts in the country, and artists are eager to showcase their talent.
From a total of 2000 artworks, only 250 artistic collections have been hand-picked to be showcased at the exhibition. Also, 41 young artists will be felicitated in various categories like paintings, sculptures, graphics, and photography on 25 Feb 2020 at Jehangir Art Gallery.
We have few artists who have made their way up with their extraordinary talent and skills. Tejaswini Sonavane, Siddharth Shingade, and Dhruti Mahajan, among others, will be awarded scholarships and awards, and while you are there, do check out their work!
