Hindu and Muslims come together in Jaipur to hold an Inter-Faith Peace March supporting the Ayodhya Verdict.

Today is the Supreme Court’s verdict on Ram Janambhoomi-Babri Masjid case and to prevent the intensification of communal tension post the Ayodhya Verdict both Muslims and Hindu communities have decided to hold inter-faith discussions and peace gatherings to build a healthy environment for the community to accept the verdict gracefully.

Jaipur’s Moti Doongri (Ganesh) temple in union with Muslim organizations will hold an inter-faith peace march in Jaipur on 9th- 11th Nov to spread the message of unity and harmony.

Temple priest Mahant Kailesh Sharma said, “People of all religions including Hindus and Muslims are residing in harmony from centuries in Jaipur and India. The peace march is intended to acknowledge the brotherhood and to give a stern warning to anti-Indian forces that we stand united in every circumstance.”

He informed that people from all walks of life can join the march from students to professionals, from social and religious leaders to politicians.

Salim Engineer, national secretary of Jamaat-E-Islami Hind stated, “It is the time to win over hatred in society. I am happy that we all have come together to spread the message of love. The march will restore confidence among people who are scared and suspicious ahead of the judgment.”


To mark the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the members of the Sikh Community will also join the march.

President of Sikh Community, Ajay Pal, said “I respect Supreme Court and believe that every Indian respects the court and its judgments. The Ramjanambhoomi-Babri Masjid judgment is no different and should be respected by the members of both the communities.”

The meeting was attended by the state president of Sarva Brahman Sabha Pandit Suresh Mishra, members of All India Muslim Personal Law Board Yasmin Farooqui, Naim Rabbani of Helping Hand Foundation.

Let's accept the Supreme Court's decision on Ayodhya Verdict gracefully and maintain the communal harmony in the country.
